Jose Rivera is the artistic director and founder of Ayazamana Dance Group. Jose has performed traditional dances since the age of fifteen when he joined one of Ecuador’s most renowned folkloric dance troupes, Folkloric Ballet of Virginia Rosero. He has performed in numerous stages throughout Ecuador and other Latin American countries, as well as Italy, United States and Japan.
Deborah Balardini is an actress, director, and producer who has been teaching and performing for the past thirty years in several countries including Argentina, Japan, Chile, France, United States and her native Brazil. She is also co-founder and co-artistic director of Nettles Artists Collective and also a co-founder and director of the only Brazilian theatre company in New York City, Group .BR. www.deborabalardini.com
Justo Santos is the general coordinator and wardrobe manager of Ayazamana Cultural Center. He possesses a vast experience and knowledge in sewing, design and traditional Ecuadorian costumes. His creations have been seen across New York and Ecuador, and at various beauty pageants.
Chris Rungoo is a nonprofit professional with over 10 years of experience and a deep appreciation for the arts. He is also a folkloric rhythm guitarist and traditional music enthusiast.
